Mid to Senior - 3D Generalist / Animator for Videogames

Zuffle Srl is an indie game house located in Prato (PO), Italy. We have developed and published several successful games both for Mobile and PC. We are specialized in simple and addicting multiplayer games, and we are planning to expand our business with new high quality games.

The project

The artist will be responsible of all the 3D content in our new Multiplayer RTS collectible card game. Graphical style is medieval/fantasy/cartoon. Remote working is possible, however the artist will be bound with us for a minimum period of 6 months and until the project is ready to be published. The artist will have the opportunity to join the team permanently.

The position

MID-TO-SENIOR 3D ARTIST GENERALIST/ANIMATOR

The ideal candidate will have experience modeling, texturing and animating assets from 2D cartoonish concepts. This artist should have a strong art foundation, which includes the understanding of form, color, light, etc. for both 2D and 3D art mediums. This artist must have skillful working knowledge of Maya, Photoshop, Mudbox, Z-brush, etc. Our ideal candidate will be someone who is reliable, self-motivated, and passionate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The artist will be expected to create highpoly models from 2d concepts, UV map, specular and normal maps and to create the lowpoly model to be used in-game. The models will be both environments, props and characters. The artist is also expected to create smooth yet optimized animations for characters, props or buildings when required.
  • The artist will be expected to create particle effects to be used in-game (non-scripted).
  • The artist will be expected to work under the project's defined best practices, metrics and art pipelines.
  • The artist will collaborate with the 2D artist for the texturing process.

Qualifications:

  • Experience creating 3d models optimized for low-end and mobile devices.
  • Work well in a small team environment and be proactive.
  • Experience creating clean and efficient model with proper UV map.
  • Experience in rigging and animations of characters and creating morph animations for buildings or props.
  • A strong desire to learn and improve skills
  • A passion for making great games.
